Classic design for a classic application.

Our latest PVC project in Miramar, Florida, is a classic double conic shape structure that serves a very important roll as an amphitheater: keeping concerts dry. It is safe to say that protection against extreme weather conditions is No.2 in the list of reasons to choose a tensile fabric structure over a conventional building. What's No.1? Style. This structure clearly stands as an innovative monument in the blooming area of Miramar, and the fact that it still stands after a hurricane is just an added bonus.

Small structure, big award.

The Tampa Riverwalk project might have been one of our smallest ones, but it's one of the most ambitious designs we have ever created. The SSI design team had to come up with a solution that would allow the main steel elements to blend into its environment. This proved to be a great challenge, but our efforts paid off. It eventually received the IAA (International Achievements Award), and is now an iconic centerpiece for both residents and visitors ever since its opening in 2015.

The sky is the limit.

Our DFW Metro Rail Station project is the perfect example to represent the infinite possibilities that fabric architecture offers for our clients. The lower canopies are simple and elegant that serve as simple shading structures for the travelers of DFW, while the upper structures are more like giant statues with massive curved steel elements that withstand the most extreme weather conditions. The additional lighting at night is just the cherry on the cake that takes the aesthetics of this particular station to a whole new level.
